Spring is on its way

There is definitely a feeling of spring in the air. Granted it's still chilly and it's only mid-February, but the days are getting longer and the sun is shining again. So this afternoon I decided to cycle to the park nearby and pay a visit to the petting zoo. I love petting zoos, they are so much fun!

A day at the petting zoo

The light was superb to take pictures but still the animals move a bit too much sometimes! I think my favourite picture of the day is the following one. The sheep seems to say: "What do you want!" But he was such a pretty colour, I couldn't resist!

I couldn't resist the fuzzy donkey ears! I love donkeys, they always look so sweet.

I do have some knitting progress! It's on the citron. I have 6 rows left before I finish the 5th section.

I plan on adding a 6th section because I have enough yarn I think. In any case I have a second ball of this yarn so all should be fine. It's just my patience which is tested.

Before I knit the 6th section and the border I'll go back to the Norwegian Rose socks and knit the second one. Maybe I'll find some of my mojo back then!

It was a wonderful day indeed! I went for a run this afternoon, to get away from my desk, and it was lovely.

Your pictures are gorgeous- the animals and the beautiful citron. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Your citron is gorgeous -- I do love the effect of the variegated yarn.

But I am glad someone is fessing up about the impact knitting it has on your patience. I nearly went mad with mine, but it was all one colour. Maybe the changing colours of yours help!

Looking forward to seeing it finished...
